The Lung Cancer Research Foundation welcomes submissions of grant requests for medical/scientific research projects covering all aspects of lung cancer research. Grant requests can include new project submissions, as well as requests for renewal of current funding. Submissions are evaluated according to the standard NIH guidelines for scientific merit and originality of concept by the Medical Advisory Board of LCRF. Consideration is given to the project’s alignment with the mission of LCRF to support a broad distribution of inquiry across many fields of lung cancer research.
Medical Advisors and Board members do not review submissions from their home institutions. The LCRF Board of Directors makes the final funding decisions.
Annually, the Foundation awards one LCRF Scientific Merit Award acknowledging the scientific investigator whose proposal was selected for outstanding overall merit by the LCRF Medical Advisory Board’s peer review committee.
The 2015 Grant Application is now available and can be found here. The deadline to apply for funding is July 1, 2015.
