Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2026

Every year in November, people around the world work together to recognize and raise awareness of the challenges that come from a diagnosis of lung cancer.

This year, LCRF invites you to Take the Challenge!

Every week, we’ll share a new theme and how to participate. Choose a “One and Done” action or take it to the “Next Level”! Come back here every Monday or follow our social media channels for details.

Week 1: Plus One Challenge

Take this week’s challenge:

One and done:
Invite one person to take our lung cancer screening eligibility quiz. LCRF.org/lung-screening-quiz

Level up:
Share our post on social media and tag 3 people (and us!).

Use the form below to let us know you took this week’s challenge. We’ll draw a name to receive a bag of goodies from LCRF! (We can only mail to United States addresses.)

Be sure to tell us by 11:59pm Sunday, Nov. 8 to be entered.

Then watch for the next challenge on Monday!

The Plus One Challenge is inspired by the Plus One Campaign, a partnership between LCRF and the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative. Simply put, the campaign initiates conversations that inspire people to educate others about lung cancer screening. Learn more at this link.

The Plus One message:

Why it’s important

We’re talking about lung cancer screening for one simple reason: early detection saves lives.

When lung cancer is caught early, it’s at its most treatable, and patients have the most options for treatment.
